About Mrs. Gainey

Welcome to CPJHS!  I am so excited for our 2nd year at Creekside Park.
I am originally from the Spring area and attended McNeese State University in Lake Charles, LA where I obtained my B.S. in Biology with a minor in Chemistry.  After graduating, my husband and I moved to Slidell, LA where I began my teaching career.  I went back to Southeastern Louisiana State University for my masters and have been teaching for 12 years.  Most recently, I have been at Conroe High School where I taught Biology and Tomball Junior High where I taught 7th and 8th grade science.
My husband is an assistant football and head track coach at Tomball High school.  Needless to say, we spend a ton of time at the field.  We have three children who constantly keep us busy with all of their activities.
I hope all of my students have an awesome experience at Creekside Park!  Please email my anytime if you have any questions of concerns.

Tests This Week!!!

All students have a test coming up this week.  Review keys have been attached to all the class pages.
7th - Cell Test Wednesday 10/11
8th - Plate Tectonics Test Thursday 10/12

Test tomorrow!

All of my 7th and 8th grade students have a test tomorrow!  See your class page for the test review answers.  Also, make sure you study your warm-ups!  If you received a low grade on the test review homework, you can complete it and I will change your grade to a 70.

Open House

I can't wait to see all of our Cougar Parents tonight from 6-8pm!  Please report to your child's 1st period teacher.  We will give you a complete schedule to follow from there.

Welcome Back! (again)

I hope all of our CPJH families are safe and I cannot wait to see everyone tomorrow!  Please see your class page for information on the safety contracts and safety test.  Please do not panic about the safety test!  It is a very easy assessment and I will work with my students who are struggling to get back into a routine.
