Social Studies

I have taught in TISD for the last 11 years and this is my second year at Creekside Park Junior High. I am teaching American History and am very excited to start 2017-18 school year.

I earned a BA in History and a M.Ed from Texas A & M University. I am certified to teach Social Studies grades 4-12, and hold both ESL and GT certifications. I am passionate about History and its connection to our present and future, and enjoy teaching middle school students.  I count it as a privilege to be a part of their junior high experience.

My husband and I are originally from Little Rock, AR, but have lived in Texas for over 30 years, and have three grown children raised in Tomball.

Government Essay and homework 1-12-18

Students will continue to need their binder information for a semester essay we are working on in these 3 days before a long weekend.

They also have a reading assignment pages 268-278 in their Pearson textbook.  They will be receiving a reading packet with vocabulary and questions for this reading assignment. It's a long reading assignment so I would suggest they do a bit of their reading packet every night.  They also have access to the online book, and will work on it if they finish the essay early.  So please allow them the use of their devices this week!
